Once a year, the Richstone Family Center, based out of Hawthorne in Los Angeles, hosts an incredible event that brings the South Bay community together to support women and children experiencing abusive situations at home. To support the 2015 event, I created a design that was applied to hanging banners, lawn signs & the event's t-shirt. Variations of reds and blues were used to maintain consistency with the Richstone brand, and imagery of the Manhattan Beach pier, sea birds and waves were incorporated because of their relevance to the event's location. A similar approach was taken when they asked me to create a new t-shirt graphic for the 2016 event t-shirts. While the overall image differs from the previous year, you can see the concept still revolves around the iconic Manhattan Beach pier and varying tones of red and blue are used.
